We're Moving (But Don't Worry)
Not physically but we thought you should be aware

Hi!

Ryan here. Just wanted to let you know that we're moving writing platforms from Ghost to BeeHiiv on Monday, May 18 th. If you don't know what that means, don't worry. Things might look a little different the next time that you receive an article/newsletter from us and we just wanted to make sure you weren't too alarmed.

If you're paying for a subscription and you see that you have a free subscription at the new site, don't worry, you haven't been downgraded. We've decided to forgo a paywall so everyone can access every article. That also means you don't have to worry about whether you want to renew, it's gratis.

Since you're subscribed here, we're going to assume that you don't mind being subscribed at the new place. Opt out here before Monday so you don't get imported over to the new one.

In the meantime, I just wrapped up a couple of fun interviews that will be coming out soon.

I interviewed music editor Micha Liberman (Only Murders in the Building, Deadwood, Office Space). We talk about what a music editor actually does and we focus specifically on his Emmy nominated episode of Only Murders, "Sitzprobe". This podcast episode should be dropping on 5/25.

I also wrapped an interview with the band, Chinese American Bear. While we didn't really talk too much about soundtracks, we did talk about their new album, Dim Sum & Then Some, their favorite dim sum spots, the weirdest meal they had on tour, and why their music is so needle drop friendly. I'm hoping to get that episode out by the end of the month since it's also AAPI month (Anne from Chinese American Bear is Chinese FYI).

I hope to see you at the new site in a few days. (blog.soundtrackyourlife.net will still be our url so you won't need to change it if you bookmarked it)
